What's your perception of the Prison Service and the people who work in it?

To the outside world, ignorance about the Prison Service, the jobs it has and the employment experience it offers is almost total. For most people, their visual reference points are restricted to a handful of television programmes.

Others see the Prison Service as a static organisation, an institution whose roots are so embedded in the past they militate against change and bold, ambitious decision taking.

The reality could not be further from this.
